
Welcome to ‘Denstone Contemporary Arts’, a brand new art gallery and café run by professional artist Johanna Domke-Guyot. The gallery is now open, click here to view the opening times.
Denstone Contemporary Arts is situated on Alton Road, Denstone overlooking the Weaver Hills and is easily accesible from Derby, Ashbourne and the surrounding areas. The gallery will display Johanna’s art work alongside the works of Paul Marshall, Josie Walter, Jeremy James and Helen Rhodes. Other well known artists will be given the opportunity to exhibit their art and give talks on request.
For those wishing to improve their own artistic and creative talents there will be different workshops to suit such as watercolour, glass jewellery, fused glass for beginners, raku evenings, raku glazing, firing and kiln building, throwing (both beginners and advanced). The cafe will be an integral part of the centre, visitors will be able to enjoy home cooked meals and speciality afternoon teas, with beautiful home baked cakes.
